Tropical Cyclone Jasper crossed the Far North Queensland coast as a category 2 system in the vicinity of Wujal Wujal. Jasper was associated with an extraordinary flooding event causing large-scale isolation, destruction and widespread power outages across North Queensland. 
TC Jasper is in the centre of the painting causing havoc on the environment. Carving large rivers into the country which is still visible today.
